Changing your dog’s diet to a raw food one can be as easy as putting down a bowl. It takes minimal tweaks to your daily schedule to feed your dog a raw diet that will keep them in tip-top condition.
As with all diets, the amount your dog needs depends on several factors including breed, age and activity levels. Adult dogs need 2% – 3% of their total body weight. This might seem low if you are used to feeding them highly processed commercial meals, but remember a raw food diet contributes to their digestive balance and well-being with hardly any waste.
As a responsible owner you are already watching your dog’s weight and understand that if they are becoming a little heavy you need to feed them less, or if they are looking too lean, a bit more.
