Do you use green or white tripe in your raw food?

We use UNBLEACHED green tripe in our raw meals. You may have seen tripe at your butchers in a white and bleached form. This is not what you want to feed your dog as it is devoid of any nutritional value.

Green tripe however, is not processed and is full of digestive enzymes and beneficial bacteria that help your dog digest its food. Cooking destroys digestive enzymes, that’s why we not only use green, but also raw tripe.

Not only is tripe loaded with digestive enzymes and probiotics, it has the perfect ratio of calcium to phosphorus – 1:1. Green tripe also contains the essential fatty acids, Linoleic and Linolenic, in their recommended proportions.

All of the green tripe we use in our raw meals comes from lamb. We wash it once and then mince it. Simple as that!
